| Tasting note: | "The 2004 vintage produced just 847 bottles of pinot noir. It's a marvellous wine especially considering that David has chosen to declare it as a simple vin de table (to avoid the unintelligible appellation of 'Bourgogne Grand Ordinaire' which would otherwise have applied). Nobody could have lavished more care and attention on their wine, and the tiny yield comes well inside grand cru regulations. There's a beautiful scent of pinot on the nose, very pure, and an impressively succulent texture. Thoroughly enjoyable and recognisably Burgundian." Jasper Morris MW |
