Tasting notes:Deep crimson and nice fresh directness on the nose from the third old-vine Gamay in this parcel bought from Christophe Roumier (who thinks the Gamay vines are better than the Pinots here). Great zest, juiciness and life - a real pick em up. Lovely natural flavours; this would make a superlative picnic wine. 15.5/20 Drink 2007-2008. Jancis Robinson MW

Displays lovely black cherry, blackberry and subtle game aromas, a bright sappy palate with fine tannins and a refreshing finish with the Gamay adding a sense of solidity (86-88). David Schildknecht for Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.
