We believe that low yields are essential to produce a great red wine. Yields are controlled by spur pruning, spring de-budding, and a time consuming green harvest. This leaves a maximum of 5 bunches per vine.

Our average yields were 23hl/ha in 2004, 27hl/ha in 2005, 30hl/ha in 2006 and 28hl/ha in 2007. Compare this to the permitted levels of 35hl/ha for the Grand Crus of the Côte de Nuits and 48hl/ha for the village appellations.
